We are a small farm in Pleasant Hill, Oregon, outside of Eugene in the beautiful Willamette Valley. We raise CAGBA registered colored Angora goats and now also have AAGBA white Angoras. Adding the whites to the colored lines brings in higher quality mohair.

Angora goats produce mohair, a strong lustrous fiber that is wonderful for hand spinners and weavers. It is known as the “Diamond Fiber”. The fiber is gorgeous in its natural color, but also takes dyes beautifully. It can be used alone or blended with wool and other fibers.

Angora goats produce an inch of mohair a month and are sheared twice a year. The goats are manageable size, about 80+ pounds for does and 100+ pounds for bucks. Both sexes have horns. Angora goats have wonderful personalities and tend to not be escape artists like many other goat breeds. They are curious and entertaining. Since much of their energy goes into the fiber, they require good nutrition and extra care of the fleece.
